Amanda and Anders (fondly known to family and friends as “Amanders”) put on a spectacular wedding at the Byron Colby Barn in August. Everything was fantastic! The impeccably designed invitation suite, Silo Bar sign, table numbers and seating chart, programs….you name it–were designed by Amanda herself. I loved the mix of a barn setting with a tailored modern vintage feel to the table decor. The florals were gorgeous and I loved all the attire for the day. Not only is this wedding beautiful to look at, but there were so many unique and personal touches woven throughout. I absolutely loved their rings, imprinted with their fingerprints. Anders is from Sweden, and many of the guests flew in from overseas to celebrate with the couple. During the ceremony they had a dear friend read from the book “I Like You” by Sandol Stoddard Warburg which was hilarious, super sweet and touching all at the same time (seriously, look it up!). I immediately recognized the reading because I bought the book for my husband as a gift years ago. They served signature cocktails and even had some homemade Virginia Moonshine at the dessert table! Guests got drinks in the silo attached to the barn and the food was fabulous. Besides just having a great dance party, Amanda and her friends took it up a notch with a Dirty Dancing lift near the end of the night. One of my favorite things was the “All you need is love” quote that Amanda had mounted to the back wall. It added such a great touch. Thank you, Amanders, for inviting me to celebrate and document your insanely awesome wedding celebration!
