I had another chance to work with Jenee of Visions Event Studio on a perfect evening wedding proposal downtown Chicago. Thompson wanted to surprise Sabrina with a night fit for a princess and he did just that.
Sabrina thought she was meeting a contact for a job opportunity at the Starbucks in the Intercontinental Hotel, but was instead whisked away to get pampered with a beautiful dress, hair and makeup, a box of sweets and gourmet hot chocolate, and a horse and carriage ride. When the video team and I walked into the Starbucks to start capturing photos, she sent a text to Thompson– “So many cameras at ze bucks”, to which he replied “Is it a moviestar?”–which I thought was just hilarious. I love that he kept his cool with a witty reply. Jenee then walked up to Sabrina and handed her an invitation to come with her. They went back for hair and makeup, came out to find the dress and treats, and changed while Thompson got in place to greet her in the Hall of Lions with a dozen roses. When she reappeared all transformed, he was waiting for her at the top of the stairs. He still hadn’t proposed at this point, but we did a quick photo shoot around the hotel before they headed to the horse and carriage. After he finally proposed in the Tiffany Garden by Buckingham Fountain they were escorted back to a private candlelit dinner at the Intercontinental’s Michael Jordan Steakhouse. It was a great team to work with and I think Thompson pulled off this surprise well! Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs!
