It’s almost impossible to write about this wedding because it was so incredible. I’ve known Claire since I was her small group leader when she was in middle school, and to say it was a privilege to be there documenting her union to Alex would be an understatement. These families are so welcoming and fun-loving, and I was excited to have them fly me out to Martha’s Vineyard to shoot Claire + Alex’s wedding. It took place at Captain Flander’s House which in itself was so beautiful, but Alex’s sister designed the florals to boot which made it that much more meaningful. There was no formal wedding party, but Claire + Alex’s siblings all stood up during the ceremony during their vows which was a really special part of the day. We stole away to Lucy Vincent Beach for the bride and groom’s first look and portraits, and the sunset later was just unreal–we even saw a rainbow while doing some portraits during this time. These people know how to party and the entire evening was full of energy. The team from KG Events & Design brought everything together so perfectly (side note: they also planned the wedding of Seth Meyers and Alexi Ashe Meyers which was a fun fact to know because my flight home got delayed 5 hours and I ended up sitting next to Seth who happened to be on the island at the same time at the airport while waiting for our flight! I’ll post our selfie at the end of the post). I know this post is long, but I can’t help sharing all this goodness!
Oh hi, Seth Meyers! He was so nice!
