From the moment I met Kelly for our first consultation, I knew we were a perfect fit. Over pizza and wine we chatted about the wedding and I was so looking forward to it ever since then. The first few images are from the night of the rehearsal dinner, where we snuck in a 5 minute portrait session before heading to their rooftop for dinner. Kelly had such a fun and clear vision for her wedding and as you can see it was full of unique details. She chose to wear the dress that Peggy (one of her mother figures and a woman very near and dear to Kelly’s heart) wore on her wedding day. Even though it is a little unconventional to do that these days, no one could have pulled it off better. Her necklace was another family wedding heirloom. Kelly is such a beautiful human being inside and out. Her infectious smile and fun energy was mirrored by the whole wedding party. Matthew was so nice and welcoming too, and I loved how he had a smile on his face the entire day. After a lovely ceremony at St. Mary of The Angels Church, we rode around the city by trolley, clearly celebrating and having fun while taking our bridal party portraits etc. The Murphy Auditorium was a perfect venue for this wedding, and I loved the styling Kelly chose. The bold stripes, bow-tied napkins and little gold animals made for classic yet whimsical details. Emotions were high as family and friends gathered to toast, laugh, eat, and dance. What better place than The Murphy for Musivo Live, who hails from Kansas City, to rock the party out. This band was perfect and kept the energy going! Delicious food was served family style, the sweets table was killer, and there were even late night snacks like sliders and mini chicken & waffles! One of my favorite parts of the night was when the bride disappeared to change into a cute party outfit and came out with a tambourine! Kelly and Matthew, I enjoyed every minute of my time with you (and I hope it’s just the beginning!).
