Back in December my husband and I stole away for a few days to New York City. We had both been crazy busy with work and it was great to reconnect–we left the kids with my parents and it was just the two of us. We had no real agenda. We got to explore the city a bit, eat good food, and spend time together. We enjoyed shopping at Chelsea Market, eating in Chinatown, meandering Greenwich and the East Village, having a beer (or two) at McSorley’s Ale House, spending time at MoMA and The Guggenheim’s Picasso exhibit, walking the Union Square Holiday Market with an old friend from college who is now living in NYC, trying matzo ball soup and corned beef at the famous Katz’s Delicatessen, visiting the Brooklyn Brewery, and sleeping in(!). We rode the subway and walked everywhere. Here are a few shots from the trip. They are a mix from my camera and my iPhone.
