Becca and Sam are the type of people who make you feel at home right away, and it was such a privelege to take part in their day. I traveled to Front Royal, Virginia where they were married at a local church and then celebrated with family and friends on a historic family property called The Mint House. The weather called for storms all weekend and we had a lot of rain the morning of the wedding, but almost like a miracle the sky dried up as soon as the ceremony was over. I think the weather contributed to the richly colored sunset and dusk over the mountains, so I certainly wasn’t complaining! Sam comes from a big family and there were so many adorable kids running free around the property–climbing fences and trees, digging in the soil, wrestling, and dancing their little hearts out…I loved how it reminded me of the spirit of childhood, wild and free, and added to the laid-back vibe of the wedding. There was no lack of emotion throughout the day, especially from Becca. It’s beautiful the way she wears her heart on her sleeve and you can tell how deeply she cares for the ones she loves. Sam and Becca have such warm hearts and it’s apparent that they were made for each other. Thank you to everyone who made me feel so comfortable and welcomed that weekend–I absolutely loved being there!
